Job Responsibilities:-
- Good experience on Database development and programming, primarily responsible for design, program, develop and implement database systems
- Experience in implementing and managing database clustering and HA/DR systems.
- Ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server, or storage tiers)
- Analyze, solve, and prepare RCA for production outages. Debug and troubleshoot database system failures and provide solutions quickly
- Implementation experience on database maintenance plans, including rebuilding/reorganizing indexes, integrity checks and improve database performance, slow running queries / processing
- Perform infrastructure service implementations, performance analysis and optimization, monitoring, problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation
- Work with various product/application teams across the company
- Understand the product architecture
- Identify and suggest areas for proactive alerting/monitoring mechanisms
- Suggest/Develop methods for better debugging, optimizing and quickly addressing issues
- Update runbooks with latest trouble shooting guidelines (for monitoring alerts, server restarts, CPU, disk and memory related issues etc) and ensure they are maintained up to date
Eligibility Criteria:-
- Bachelor’s / Graduation / Equivalent
Required Skills Set:-
- Experience on multiple database technologies, primarily Oracle and Postgres
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to multitask under pressure, prioritize work based on criticality and severity.
- Should be flexible and open to work in 24×7 environment in any shifts, willing to work on holidays, over weekends.
