Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager I, you’ll be placed in one of three pivotal roles based on business needs:
1. Area Manager – Fulfillment/Sort Centers
- Lead floor operations with regular audits, coaching, and associate management.
- Monitor KPIs such as quality, productivity, inventory health, and customer delivery.
- Champion 5S, Lean, and Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Safety, HR, Engineering) for smooth execution.
- Drive staffing plans, shift management, and continuous performance improvement.
2. Operations Manager – Central Operations & Supply Chain
- Work with analytics and leadership to reduce customer contact & concessions.
- Identify and solve supply chain challenges through data-driven solutions.
- Manage partner (3P) performance tracking and cost optimization.
- Handle transportation in emerging markets and streamline return processes.
- Implement process improvements across fulfillment, customer service, and seller operations.
3. Station Manager – Last Mile Delivery
- Optimize first-mile to last-mile delivery processes using data insights.
- Lead delivery station operations, workforce planning, and performance tracking.
- Analyze bottlenecks and deploy continuous improvement strategies (Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Supervise delivery associates, ensure safety compliance, and enhance delivery metrics.
- Contribute to city-wide logistics planning and scalable routing solutions.
Core Role Expectations
- Lead diverse teams from Day 1 in a hands-on, on-floor role.
- Ensure delivery of business metrics by managing operations end-to-end.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deploy tools, track quality, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Actively contribute to staffing, scheduling, reporting, and team development initiatives.
- Work on a flexible roster, including night shifts and non-traditional weekends.
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (excluding CS-related or Circuit branches).
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Macros, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- Exposure to Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, or Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Effective project management and team leadership abilities.
